Invest with friends. Vote on every trade.
Whipround turns your friend group into a real investment club, with a brokerage account in the club's name. Trades that pass get placed right in the app.
We'll email you when clubs can start.
Why do it together
-
Everyone knows something
Each of you sees a different corner of the world. Put together, you notice things you'd miss alone.
-
More to work with
On your own, a little money backs one idea. Pooled, the club has enough to back a few at once.
-
Share the risk
Nobody is out on a limb alone. The club decides together, and everyone shares the ups and the downs.
-
Chase a goal together
Half the fun is having something to aim for. The club's first $10,000, a trip you keep talking about, or just something to look back on.
-
Learn together
Nobody has to be the expert. You talk ideas through with friends, which is more fun than figuring it out alone.
How it works
-
Start the club
Name your club and drop the link in the chat. We open an account in your club's name, and everyone chips in from their bank.

FAQ
Is investing with friends a thing?
It is. They're called investment clubs, and they've been around since at least the 1950s. The paperwork is what puts most people off. We're building Whipround so you don't have to deal with it.
Could this affect our friendship?
Money gets awkward when things are vague. Here nothing is: every trade goes to a vote, everyone sees the same numbers, and anyone can cash out their share.
Whose name is the money in?
The club's. It's a real brokerage account at a regulated partner brokerage, owned by the club, not by us or the captain.
Is there a minimum to invest?
Your club decides how much each person puts in. We're building it so small amounts work, and we'll confirm any minimum before your club starts.
What counts as a passing vote?
Your club sets the rule when it starts: a majority, two thirds, three quarters, or everyone. No trade is placed until it passes.
What about taxes?
The club has one tax return a year, and every member gets a form for their own taxes. We track the deadlines and prep the forms.
What if I want out?
You can cash out your share at the current share price. We'll show you when the money will arrive.
Is Whipround live yet?
Not yet. Join the waitlist and we'll tell you when your club can start.
